I realize this topic may have been covered but couldnt find

Im would to work out cost

Watts * hrs used * * = cost

Anyone point me in the right direction ?

everything is worked out in kilawatt hours so you will need to find out on your electricity bill what you pay per kilawatt hour and then figure out the sum of your wattages used eg say i use 400w for 8 hrs a day at 40c a kilawatt hr, all up im using 3.2KW which will cost me $1.28 a day

1 kilowatt on for one hour equals 1kWh, this is the unit of charge.

1 kilowatt = 1000 watts

So in southy's example, 400 watts = 0.4KW
