I'm getting a pair of juvie Storrs in a couple of months time.
I'm looking at an enclosure 85cm long x 52cm deep x 48cm high - how does that sound for a soon-to-be adult pair of Storrs? It would be Melamine with a glass front and half-top wire mesh.

I understand their heating requirements, am just curious about thoughts on the enclosure size.

Thanks :D

it wouldnt hurt to go abit bigger maybe 4x2x2

personally I think that a 4x2x2 is a little to large for a juvie/adult pair of storrs. I kept my adults in a 3Lx2W1.5H tank and that was plenty of room for them, the important thing is too supply them with deep substrate and heaps of hides.

your tank would be ideal for a juvie pair IMO :)

Cheers deathinfire, I like your reply the best! :D
What depth of substrate (red sand from the landscapers) do you recommend for the Storrs?

In my experience three foot would be plenty big enough for a pair of Storr's.. Although I kept my trio in a four foot .. A few inches of substrate is fine mate - just ensure any large rocks/dishes etc are on the bottom of your vivarium and not on the top of the sand. These guys love to dig under decor and you don't want to risk things falling on them.. Best of Luck!

I had mine at approx 2 inches at the deepest part of the tank, heres a pic of the setup I used :). As you can see its a maze of hides :D
