I love Australia :) The whole country's trying to kill you, it certainly helps to keep idiots away :)

Put them up around all the Indonesian fishing villages.

Oh! They must be pretty bad to drive out the drop bears. Yep I love Australia, and for all those reasons except Danni minogue. Don't hate her but she does t make me love Australia.

Now come on! Where are the drop bears on that map?

Drop bears were real. These marsupial lions were drop ambush predators. First pic is from the Kimberly (only confirmed painting of a marsupial lion.) Second pic is a skull, all the rear teeth are fused together to make a double set of scissors that would cut through any spine. Formidable beasts and only gone from this landscape in relatively recent times. DROP BEARS WERE TRUE!

Hmm very interesting. Thanks for that Steve. And my mum always told me they were made up....
Thanks very much for the info and the pics. Your not just trying to fool me at you?

nope. True blue. There were carnivorous kangaroos and giant snakes when the first people got here. A walk in the bush was very different then to what it is now, A richer environment. I would take the risk to go back and see things in the flesh. Sadly the option is not available, that's why we need to conserve what we have. Happy Oz Day BP, hope you're having a goodun!
