Any one have anytips for finding an escaped Snake.

My 3 year old children's python got out. (a youngen left the door open)

pretty worried has I have pet rats too (don't laugh!!) and they are just the right size for him. :(

Very worried about all of them

It may sound mean, but put one of your pet rats in a click clack with food, water ect that the snake cannot get into, then leave that on the floor near where yo lost the snake. Hopefully the snake may return and just wait near the rat, but will be unable to get to it. Worked for me once. Otherwise check all warm and dark areas of the house

My bredli got out a while ago and found the rat tubs , cleaned up 5 or 6 small rats and killed the mum . just keep checking near the rats and you will have a good chance of spotting him and check around the house with a torch at night time ( with all the lights off ) , also check any warm spots around the house like under the fridge , tv , hot water system ect . Good luck hope you find him .

cheers Nico

Remember, too, that they can squeeze into spaces you wouldn't believe. Good luck finding him.

I lost a Juvi carpet python a year ago and I found him a week later curled up behind my dvd player taking advantage of the warmth of it. Only realized he was there because I found a shed leading right to him haha.
