Well, Dave found a little baby(come Velvet/Weaner Rat) on floor of Rat House yesterday. Very tiny and malnourished. I went to chuck it in the tank with the growout rats and it fell in the water bowl! Poor little thing. Its a male rattie, which I don't want as a pet at all. I have the "Turbo" girl rat as a pet rattie after all! LOL! Anyway, I rescued the poor little thing and have it in a cage in the house. Giving it mashed up bananas(which it loves by the way), and dunking its mouth in a little water bowl. Grrrr! I'm such a softie! The darn thing is smaller than the velvets that we freeze. It looks like a real mini weaner! Even gave it some Feta Cheese Spread. Can't give Rodents cheese or milk(dairy) products, as not good for their digestive systems eh? Feta comes from goats and sheep if I'm not mistaken. Grrrr!! I can see me getting attached to the poor little bugga if it survives. But don't really want to breed da Turbo. Dave reckons it probably won't survive, needs the titty! Oh well, we will see how it goes? Cheers Cheryl PS. If I chuck it back in the rat growout tank, the other buggas will probably eat it, they are such cannibals!.

 You are a softie although i would probably have thought of doing the same thing if i didnt have hungry snakes

Escapee has gone to a new home in Mildura with one of our "Rodent Runner" buyers. Poor little bugga, I was getting too attached to the poor thing. We even gave one of those plastic balls(that guinea pigs/hamsters can roll around on the floor in) to the new owner. By the way, we gave it away, didn't sell it, LOL!! Its gonna be a pet rattie.
