Eye caps

When I was little my Dad used to call these 'Brills'. Is that just something he made up (like when he told me soy sauce was made of ducks blood)?

If it is a real word, where can I find it. Is there a Herpetology Terms Dictionary?

Here are my MDs 'Brills'. They are like glass.

Goggles lol, how scientific. Maybe spectacles, shades, contacts??
They can't just be 'eye caps' Lib - I refuse to accept it! lol - that's so unlike herpetology to not have a special word for everything. If they're not already called that we should rename them.

I'm doing better than that turtle. thankyou for asking Inny - and, you were right - Turtle was so tough the ants didnt eat it. I still have it - I'll get Shadow out with the blowtorch. he'd like that.

That's a term I haven't heard for many years, but it is a term that used to be used regularly to describe the eye shields(Caps) on the snakes skin.

Over here theyre called spectacles. In America theyre called Brills. I have several " Snakes of the world " books which call them brills.

The latin for goggles must be occulaseeunderwaterus or without goggles would be 'I. dontthinkhesaurus'.
