I just noticed today one of my angle-headed dragons got substrate in her eye and it was shut, so I flushed it out with lots of water, did the best I could using a clean sterile earbuds to remove some of the dirty and sticky gunk. It looks to be sore (as anyones eye would be) , sticky & still mostly closed but I think its still in the early stages and hasn't go badly infected. There are no reptile specialist or reptile vets here, they only know about horses, cattle and dogs.
I would like to know is there anything else I should do?
It appears that most of the substrate was in the eye lid that goes cross ways.
It looks alil better now but still mostly closed. I will wait and see how it looks tomorrow, it may clear up now, it may not, just wanna know what else you can use to clear it up? Is there any drops available? Has this happen to you?

you can keep rinsing it in a dilute saline solution and if it gets bad you could get an antibiotic ointment from your vet, like tricin but is prescription so theyd probably say you need to bring it in. just watch it carefully they heal well but can go down hil quick

How long healing time should I be looking at if it doesn't appear to be badly infected yet? Just a rough estimate?

& thanks Helikaon, is that antibiotic ointment like a generic one used for all animals or reptile specific?

if theres no physical scatches it should be better in a day or two. yeah the ointment is generic, any vet will have it or a product that does the same thing, jsut dont use a ointment that has cortisone in it as if their is any damage it will inhibit healing.

Even though not reptile vets, as long as your local vet is willing to look at it, everything is on the computer re measures/strengths for reptiles as c.f. dogs etc.
Don't muck around with it too much though - if not better within at least 2 days take her to the vet! If what the vet prescribes isn't working, they might then be able to work with a reptile vet via phone/e-mail.
Hope it heals well & quickly:)
