hi guys ive got a few snakes that are good and healthy just wondering if there is n e extra effort i could put in?

I was doing some volly work at a zoo and they used canola oil on food with some of the carnivor animals, not reptiles, reason being to help with coat / skin and also put on weight would this hurt / kill my snakes???

i have a snake that has some old burn from a light and the scale seem really dry compared to the rest would a hypo allergic moisteriser be good to use?? any side effects???

also i have a snake that i started sheding early, its underskin wasnt really ready for it and it seems to be dry and rough, what should i do there???

my spelling is horrid i know but u get the idea!

there is goin overboard... don't want to do that...
there has been disscusion before on the use of mutton bird oil on food as having benefits for snakes, but you don't want to over fatten your snakes as it leads to health probs...
shouldn't make your snake shed early, they will when they're ready... they excrete an oil beneath the old skin to seperate from the new and alow the shed to come off. poor health they wont do this properly resulting in a bad shed. plus other things cause it...
all i can say is if they're healthy and well then they wont need much more than fresh water and feeding once a week/ fortnight depending on size and age...
