fire twirling nights

On sunday nights my teen goes out and plays with fire.Now some people have told me *you shouldnt let your 14 year old do that!!* ...but its fun and the people are great and is something we look forward to on a sunday night oh and all safety measures are in place

is real fun fire mesmerises me so i play with the LED poi gota get an LED staff soon so i can play with it but my girl uses fire staff day staff ( non fire) and fire poi and led poi
my three year old has her own day staff that she twirls cant wait til shes bigger i think she will make a great fire twirler too

i spin fire every now and then with poi and staff and as long as im wearing cotton clothing its pretty hard to hurt yourself. worst case is generally some singed arm hair. the fuel you generally use is a low heat and flash point. its not like petrol where it explodes.
i think generally people are just miss informed until they start to understand its no more harmful than a kero lantern.
friends have had the police called because someone saw them twirling and freaked. once the police came and had a chat and saw that it wasnt that bad they left them alone. just told them to not do it on the local oval and take it to the concrete or asphalt tennis courts. lol

great pics i love the poi the best except when the hit you in the family jewels. lol

yeah she wears denim and cotton she had long hair but she singed heaps so we had it cut she has great mentors and is learning heaps and making her own moves/combos too shes staring to do contact fire staff and contact poi too..she has grown in herself as she has been twirling and am pleased to see her smile more
