Florida woman finds 7-foot alligator in her bathroom


PALMETTO, Florida — A woman found an unwelcome weekend guest in her bathroom: a 7-foot alligator.

Alexis Dunbar says she screamed and the gator hissed when she found it inside the bathroom of her home Saturday afternoon. Her boyfriend propped a small table by the bathroom to keep the gator inside until an officer from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission showed up to take him away.

Dunbar thinks the gator used a doggie door on the back porch to get inside the house.

Spring is mating season for alligators, and wildlife officials urge people to be extremely cautious, especially around water.

We had a big locust in our toilet the other day.and they are big locusts,scared the living daylights outta me.we have them everywhere,arter you go out in the car,especially at night,it never hurts to do a locust scraping outta the front grill,and they smell after you have killed a couple doz.and im not game to give asingle one to any beardies cos they may have been sprayed.

I think they are still going to kill it though. In Florida any Alligator over 4 feet is considered to be a nuisance and they are usually killed when caught.
