Another. If there was one thing you could do/control or wish that would make the planet a better place to live please share (only one) and why?

I would make it mandatory that only one couple be allowed to raise one child. Why? population reduction globally=
less habitat destruction.
less resources needed to sustain our lifestyle.
Better long term future of our current future path
Less extinctions.
etc.

Probably Implement An Idea, Instead of everyday you go to school, you go first day of school, Choose the terms you want to go, Must have a maximum of 2 out of 4, But you must turn up Everyday to school, Unless it's a serious illness, that's probably what i would do...

Firstly, thank you kind people for your kind words about me, but really I'm just an old busy body who likes to know how all you people think, that's the only reason I ask the questions I do...nothing special at al....NOW....

I would decree that all people treat each other, and all creatures on earth as they would want to be treated themselves. This would bring about kindness, fairness, and safety and bring an end to violence, cruelty, poverty and all the other nasties that are in the world today. Easier said than done I know.....but that would be my ideal.

When I look at the world in global terms, for me I see two deep rooted concerns... mankind's effects upon sustainability of life on the planet AND man's inhumanity to his fellow man. In the long term scheme of things, the first is by far the most important. In the short term, the latter is a matter of genuine urgency.

Suggestions have been made to address both the human plague and the way humanity treats humanity. I like that education was also mentioned as that is truly an effective tool to bring about change through knowledge and understanding.

If there were one thing I could do to assist all these, it would be to imbue each and every individual, from a very young age, with a passionate love of nature.
