Does anyone know what the laws in France are like for keeping reptiles?
There is the tiniest chance that my family might move over there in a few years so I was wondering if anyone knew what the laws are.
And also, does anyone know what snakes they have there?

I know there are several species of colourbrid as well as Vipera berus. I was talking to a frenchman the other week and I'm pretty sure he said they don't require a license to keep reps over there. They are also sold in several marketplaces.

I'm pretty sure the laws are the same as most of Europe, no license required and you can basically keep any reptile you want, there could be license requirements for venomous snakes though.

If they don't need a licence that would be awesome. But it must be hard to transport one from here to there though.

You can't export from Australia so you won't be able to take your current collection.

You can buy most of the Aussie species over there but it isn't possible to export them from here.

yeah unless your a zoo you have a snowflakes chance in hell of getting herps out of this country legally.

Just console yourself with the fact that you can get all the species you keep now and about 3000 more ;)
