I think they're being a little optimistic somehow!!!
 
Even if there was a .1% survival rate of the offspring thats 25 frogs from each viable female. So 1000 females is 25000 surviving offspring each season. Thats a lot of bullets.

American Bull frogs are probably not as toxic as Cane toads. Many of the taddies may not make it to adulthood being gobbled up along the way by predators (without ill effect on the predators).

Still recon it is going to take something like the daughterless gene approach to controlling Cane toads in Oz.
