I lightly dust the feeder roaches our frogs get fed on with a mix of 2/3 Rep-Cal Calcium and 1/3 Herp-t-vite. This has been the stapel diet of our 6 GTF's for nearly 5 years now.

I dont give the mealworms , very seldom, and then only pale fresh molt ones, and then only live for the big ones. When i do buy a tub, i add fresh carrot and lettuce thats it, I leave them at room temp, I only buy a small tub once in a while, and I feed it out in a few days, give the blueys, stumpy, beardys aswell just to use em up. Turtles get them too, love em!

Crix and woodies are gutloaded (piscies gutload) and given whole carrots, dog kibble, fishfood occasionally, and in the case of crix, fresh lettuce leaves aswell. Woodies get wasted pinkies occasionally too, i gave woodies whole rats that monty wasted a few times, when i had them at phenomenal numbers in the tub, both times it was gone bar the skull and larger bones and some skin with fur the next morning!
They really will eat anything, but ive food a drier diet is best, with carrot for moisture. I have no idea if peices gutload actually 'does' but they do eat it ! :D
There also dusted with herptavite and repcal every few feeds, I was taught that frogs can be given too much calcium as easily as too little, so I settled on one in every few feeds, so far there thriving.

hi all,
i haven't as yet but am wondreing does anyone gut load there crickets or mealworm's before feeding there frogs

I do ashley.
I usually put the crickets in a large plastic tub and feed them some gutload and some spinnach and fresh cut carrot and leave them in there for over an hour before feeding them to my frogs.
