I've been thinking of getting some red eye green tree frogs. They're so cute. Any information on where to get them or how easy they are to keep would be much appreciated.
I live in Sydney and I have to get another licence to keep amphibians. I think this sux. I think that reptiles and amphibians should be on the same licence and I think you should have to do some kind of basic test for this licence. It basically seems like NPWS just want cash from those who love australian natives and who are therefore willing to pay. Just needed to get it off my chest. Anyone else got both licences?

Hey Jules, I've got some red eye's, and they really are cute. Basically, they are relatively easy to keep, and They really aren't all that fussy. Just throw them some loaded/dusted crickets, clean their tank every now and again, pick up the dead crickets, and that's pretty much it. (Besides the UV, temp etc. But all fairly straight forward). There are heaps of sites around that have care sheets.

As far as actually obtaining them in NSW, they are around, just not all that many of em. There is one bloke in Sydney who is selling them right now. (Advertised on the petlink website). I think he had about 30 morphs ready to go. :D

Bono888 Aka Matt & Monique, Nice folks, healthy frogs, big smiles, I reccommend Them! See the for sale forum :D
