Coastal Carpet Python (Morelia Spilota) unsexed. Almost 2YO approximately 2 1/2 ft slowly raised.

Nice pattern and colours and an EXCELLENT handler. This snake has not even pretended to bite whether in the cage or out. Great feeder on unscented, thawed pinkie rats and adult mice. Takes food first time every time without complaint - no fuss involved. Hand feeds and is happy to feed both in and out of cage.

Perfect for a younger or first time herp enthusiast.

Located 15 mins from Melbourne airport (approx 20 mins from CBD via citylink, 25-30 mins from CBD otherwise) and would prefer a Melbourne sale. Will consider freight for the right person as I'd like this snake to go to the right home.

$200. Contact can be made via sms on 0433 187 148 or by phone on (03) 9333 2864.

Are you able to get it sexed. I'm just down the road or up it and would be really interested in having it sexed to see if it meets my needs.

Unsexed I will offer you $150 and pick it up tomorrow.

See what you can work out. Sorry I don't mean to put pressure on you.

Finally it is a top looking animal and appears to have been really well looked after. Who bred the snake by the way?

Thank you for the replies - I apologise for not replying earlier, I had not expected them so soon.

I will ask Brian Barnett if he is able to sex the snake for me when I pick up some woodroaches either Thursday or Friday and let you know ASAP as to whether it is male or female, Shamous1.

As for shipping to Adelaide, I would prefer a Melbourne sale as I don't want the snake to be stressed out and would like it to have as easy a transfer as possible. If Shamous1 decides that the sex of the snake does not suit him, I will look into how to freight to Adelaide and the cost (I wont charge you any more than it costs me so rest assured). I have copies of freight permits Im just not sure of how to locate carriers. I hope this decision doesn't offend you JEZ as you sound like a fantastic snake owner - Im just worried about stress etc on the snake and I am unsure as to how freight is even carried out (having never freighted a reptile before).

Thank you for the feedback on the coastal Sevrum. We love it too, however have decided to downsize our herp collection which is the only reason for this sale.

I'm betting that it's a male. All the females I've ever known have been snappy handlers.

No offence taken at all Erin. Do what's best for the python.

I've never freighted an animal either no idea what's involved the only reason I suggested freight him/her to me is that he/she looks gorgeous and I would love to add him/her to my collection.

and Yeah I love my pythons...they are very spoilt and treated with the respect/care they deserve.

Hi all. This snake has been SOLD. Thanks for the interest you showed and the feedback you provided!

The person who bought the animal the animal got a bargain

I always thought though that I would have been notified as to the outcome of a possible sale of the animal due to the above mentioned quote.

I guess I'll keep looking. Maybe I should have paid more than the quoted wanted price

I apologise for not getting back to you as to whether you wanted to offer more Shamous! After your initial offer of $150 for the snake unsexed I did not think that you would wish to offer more than the $275 I received for it unsexed (its almost double your initial offer). You also never specified a price you were willing to offer for the snake once sexed or indicated whether $200 was an amount you were happy to accept.

Being happy with an amount higher than originally asked, being the owner of the snake I should be able to decide which offer to take - especially as I never confirmed a sale with you but let you know I would have it sexed and we would move from there.

Also, as the snake was sold without being sexed I do not think that the post you quoted has any relevance. I'd also like to note that the snake has gone to an APS member whom I know personally and trust implicitly, having had dealings with them in the past. I made it well known I wanted the snake to go to the right home and I believe it has. I am sorry you are unhappy with this choice and apologise to anyone else who may also believe the decision I made was the wrong one.

For interests sake - the snake has since been sexed and was found to be female. I am happy with the decision I've made and that the snake has gone to an owner who will take good care of it which was my wish in the first place.

Thanks again to all those who showed interest!

Cheers Erin. It was and still is a beautiful snake. Let me know what bargains you may have in the future. We'll catch up for a coffee sometime.
