For a light hearted vid with no violence, nudity, funniest home video style accidents, broken bones, illegal activity or animal cruelty, it has to be the most fun vid i have watched in a very long time. Requires sound.

Get the kids, they'll love it too!!!

2.2 meg, but worth every second of it.

Also, its amazing what animals can be taught!!!

Enjoy my friends, i sure did!!!

I've seen it before - you'd almost think it wasn't real with what it can do! They are one clever animal! I wonder when the saying bird brain became so derogatory

Ive seen it before but thanks for reminding me, I havent shown it to the kids yet.
African Greys are supposed to be the mosty intelligent animal after humans. Makes you wonder how they survive being so dumb then.

Its actually proven that the smartest birds are Ravens. I watched a doco on them once and they really do shine above the rest.

Magpies have the greatest vocabulary when trained.

Doco I saw proved that Greys were the smartest. Its all a matter of who you believe.
I believe dugongs are just dolphins who have taken to many party drugs.

Actually, Magpies have the best ability to imitate.
Parrots clip alot of the sounds out when "speaking" Magpies can actually reproduce a greater range of sounds than most people.
Funny thing about Magies is that socially they are only allowed to imitate permanent members of their territory but not family members.
So to get them to "talk" they need someone who is not "mum" or "dad" to be around regularly and talking.
They can also bark like a dog, screetch like a cat and make vehicle sounds too.

I think the African Grey holds the record for the most number of "words" known.

make vehicle sounds

When I was living at home, we always had a large number of magpies that would hang arround and beg for food. I rember this one young magpie that would imitate the wail of a fire truck. It was very impressive, not to mention amusing as well.

Spot on. African Greys are the smartest "Parrot" that money can buy and are a beautiful bird at that. They range from $5000-$10000 each. :)

African Greys have the best vocabulary of any parrot, and are considered the smartest of parrots, and studies have shown that they can actually understand simple questions. But they got nothing on cetaceans or the higher primates which may have some capability thinking abstractly. In fact, I'd be inclined to put an elephant's intelligence above that of any parrot. The Corvids (crows and ravens) are considered the most intelligent of all birds, with some pretty good problem solving abilities.

Magpies the best imitators? Don't you mean Mynas? They have the greatest repetoire of sounds of any bird - including Lyrebirds - but they're pretty stupid, compared with parrots or corvids. Magpies are pretty good too, but those are the Old World Magpies (like the Black-backed Magpie, known as a thief of shiny objects); Australian magpies were given the same name because they're black-and-white and reminded the early settlers of the birds back home.

There's also Green Magpies in this group.

Dugongs are cool as. We get quite a few pods here in Nickol bay. Rachel and i were out in the tinnie not long ago and stopped and watched them. There was little ones swiming around, and 3 groups / pods over about 200 meters. Was an awesome little stop.

There are always magpies outside our door and once one was making a barking noise like a dog it was very amusing!

Nope, I am talking about the Australian Magpie - Gymnorhina tibicens or whatever it is.
I didn't say the grestest range, I said the best imitators.
I guess it's a bit like comparing a mobile phone that can play 30 thousand songs but all of them are pretty poor reproductions to a stereo that can only play 200 songs, but all of them in dolby surround.
