Got any pics yet?

Why exactly are you giving her away?

- Mel

Pix will be up midmorning. Have 2 people interested her, so they've first pick of whether they want her or not. As I mentioned she's just learnt to get out of my fence. And the main road is just up the street from me, and I don't want her getting hit. I live in a rental, and it's not like they're going to cement under the fence all around in the near future. If she did'nt get out - I'd keep her, and I don't like having to chain p a dog on a permanent basis.

Why don't you ask permission off the owners to escape-proof the yard at your own expense? That way you would get to keep ya pooch and the owners would get a free property improvement. A win win situation :)

Already have asked, the owners have stipulated they want cement and to have it done professionally. Which really craps me to tears. Considering if they get it done they'll get it back on tax as repairing an investment.

there are other things you can buy and install just all depends on what your priorities are as id do anything to keep my 2 staff's, and we have they both can jump 6 foot fences with ease we would have spent heaps on this place buying lattice to make fence higher and then digging lattice into the ground to stop them so far so good. i hope it all works out

Hey Ricko, would love to, but they've drawn the line in saying it has to be nice on the 'eye' and be cemented only. I'm not pushing the subject too far as they have let me have 13 snakes, blue tongues, 40 odd rats, 20 odd mice, 3 aviaries and 2 dogs. If I push them 2 hard I could lose all my animals or be :? forced to move. At the moment my house is just up the road from my kid's school and daycare; and seeing as my car is currently busted (in a big way)I need to stay close to their schooling etc.

i wasnt havent a go at you i was just merely commenting on the situation. hope it works out for you.

LOL! Hey I did'nt think you were having a go at me!! Just explaining the situation more fully!

This is Ricks Fiance Mel (he was typing before). God I know how dogs can be a pain, as rick said before about ours getting out. We really spent alot of time worrying about our animals. I cannot tell you the love i have for my dogs and how much id do anything to keep them in and with me, as much as they cause me trouble. :) Damn doggies!

Were simply just going to remove the lattice after we move, as we are in a rental property also. So they wont know it was ever there. Do they constantly check on the property? Also, ive also looked into a sonic type collar and fence boundary that you can purchase, www.innotek.com.au - alot of people have said this works. At least this way you can keep your pooch, have you had her from a pup? Its so rewarding seeing your little doggy grow up into a full grown one, and it'd be sad for you to give her away. Unfortunately the Innotech systems are about $399 - $599 (i think). We might have to consider it if our pups get thru our current contraption :)

Good luck.

The best I could do would be to put up a mini electric fence. A friend of mine I was talking to just before about it said thats how she keeps her border collies out of her garden. I have heaps of electric tape etc but it might be a bit strong(excess from my horse paddocks). Prob not good for kids. I know of the sonic collars but tis a bit expensive for me. Hmm, maybe if I put the electric tape on the outside Ha ha. Joking. Thanks for the ideas though.

Well my mum had a troublesome lab, and after one zap of the eletric fence for her, she never did it again. Could be an idea :)

Any1 interested? She really is a lovely natured dog, I don't want to take her to the pound....

She comes with a large dog bed (canvas tent-like material and metal), 2 collars, lead, dish..

Do you have any idea of his weight? Would help if someone wanted to freight him down, you can get a quote from AAE if you have his weight, phone 131213.
