I recently purchased an ornamental crocodile skull from a reputable dealer on ebay. The item arrived broken, and in places crushed, despite the packaging (looks like someone has kicked the box like a football or dropped from a height). Looking at feedback given to that seller,it seems unlikely i will get a refund or replacement ($30 down the drain) so was wondering what glue would be safe to use? Its gunna be like a jigsaw to fix,but i cant throw it out,not after spending that amount.
Good testing ground actually,as the company in question have some nice stuff and i was looking at a couple hundred dollars in purchases which i will now not purchase due this.

super glue , really any sort of glue is reptile safe providing the glue is dry before placing item into the enclosure.

Ah cool. I wasnt sure so thought it best to ask rather than go ahead and do it thus possibly risking the life of my girl if i was wrong. Thanks Jas.

If you paid with paypal you should be able to get a refund under the Buyer Protection... I would try to work it out with the seller first though, most sellers prefer an amicable solution rather than risk negative feedback or the opening of a dispute.

What do you mean looking at the feedback given to the seller it seems unlikely you'll get a replacement? Bad feedback ratings? But you just said he/ she was a reputable dealer? Either way I'll bring it up with the seller with photos of the damaged goods and see what he/ she says.

It says they are a top seller, and with little negative feedback, but when i looked all the negative was in broken items arriving and not being refunded. I have an email back from the seller who says that i can send it back for a refund, but by the time i send it back to them i have paid what the item is worth in getting it delivered, and sending it back!
They also state that as i didnt tick the insurance thing 'As there was no insurance in place on this package you could try to claim the carrier but they may refuse to accept a claim.'
Not happy at all,but again very little i can do huh?

It's disappointing that happened, but like people said, if u payed with PayPal you will be able to get it back through them.

It sounds to me like it could be the courier, rather than the sellers fault? I would be at least letting the seller know, so he can check out the couriers methods etc (sounds like he might be using 'swift & shift couriers). If you like the other stuff from the seller, I would be giving him one more shot, but ask that he either packages it 'bomb proof' or changes courier. Maybe ask for a discount on the next item? ;)

Any decent glue (superglue, tarzans grip) will be fine, like Jas said, just let it dry well and air it to be sure before giving it to your snakes to play with :D

It was handed to me by the mailman when i saw he was at my letterbox. The company are aware of the breakage, they are also now aware that i was looking at spending several hundred dollars at least with them, and that this first instance will have me going elsewhere in the future.

Will certainly use a decent glue, and there is no way i will put it in her enclosure until properly dried out,it will be sitting outside in the sun in a nice corner where it cannot be knocked over for at least a few days before its put in use.
