GoPro HD2 camera.. who uses them and cheap place to buy one??

Heya guys I have recently lost my GoPro over the side of the boat on a fishing trip, as it was in over 40m of water there was no chance of getting it back so I'm just wondering if anyone uses the GoPro HD2 for activities and how it compares to the original GoPro??
I'm looking into getting a new HD HERO2 and as I bought my original Gopro in the states I have no idea where to get one here in Sydney. I'll be using it for moto riding, fishing/spearing,hunting, partying basically most activities I get into in spare time so I would be looking for helmet mount,head mount and chest mount. Any help and tips would be much appreciated, also if you have any links to them in use post them up. Cheers

My mate took one over to Bali for his Bodyboarding, said it worked incredibly well, he also uses it for downhill skateboarding

Yeah I've been watching a few videos on youtube comparing the 2, the HD2 picture quality looks a lot better compared to the original.

Yeah it would be worth the money, as for buying them, check Ebay. Or Local camera shops should be able to order something in???

Not a big fan of ebay but I'll check it out. I'm checking online now hopefully I can find some where with a half decent price with the accessories I need to go with it.

alot of shops that stock them alsosell on ebay,the newer type is alot better than the old,more options for them,i got a led screen for mine plus the cases so it fits in the housing,u can get battery back packs to for the newer version givin double the battery life

worth the effort getting the newer version,but can get the older form cheaper,so if you were happy with the original,could get a bargain

I bought my GoPro HD Hero2 directly from GoPro. Arrived quickly and much cheaper than anywhere here in Oz (except eBay)
I've only used it a couple of times and it's pretty good.
The shots below are a little foggy (have since bought some de-foggers or whatever they're called) and in some very small surf.
Haven't downloaded the vids or pictures from last weekend's big surf.

Forgot to add I am in the process of using the GoPro HD Hero 2 for a reptile related video.
Should have it done and uploaded to youtube in the coming months

Just ordered the new HD2 outdoor edition with a few accessories to go with it direct from GoPro. Cheers for the replies fellas.
