Hey guys, I'm new to the reptile game and I am a bit curious about this thought I've had. I'm getting a Woma hatchy in the next couple of months or so, and I am going to keep it in a click clack initially but I have also bought an enclosure (I can't remember the dimensions at the moment, but it's around 600mm long) that I will move the python into once it is ready. My question is: Once I've got him settled into the click clack, after a month or two once he is feeding and shedding regularly and fairly comfortable with being handled, would it be worth it to have the bigger enclosure all set up as if he was going to live in there and then just let him loose in there for a short period of time?
My thoughts behind this are that it would allow the snake to get used to the sights and smells of the enclosure gradually ahead of when he eventually moves in there permanently.
I'm just keen to see what everyone thinks??

Just throw him in if he's a yearling, if he's juvi just keep him in the click clack then throw him in as he gets a little bigger, snakes will adapt quickly, just give him lots of places to hide and what not, he will be more then happy to be in a big enclosure, then give him a week or 2 he'll come out and explore then you can go from there ;) goodluck
