I have read in a few places that a female beardy can store sperm and produce a second lot of eggs after laying the first lot.

My question is has anyone experienced this? How often? and how long after?

I am planning on letting my girl rest and only aim for two clutches this year and I am keeping her isolated from the males for 6 - 8 weeks.

Eggs laid

She laid her first clutch last wednesday here is a pic.

One of my females is dropping her second clutch now and she was with the male roughly around 10-12 weeks ago.
She layed the first clutch of 20 on the 26/8 so they are due to hatch soon.

I guess it depends on how many times he has gotten to her and how fertile they both are .

Thanks Bec

I have no problem with her going again aslong as she eats well in between

Yep, feed her up inbetween, i usually give pinkie rats to females for conditioning.

Ahh that is what i am doing with my thick tailed gecko female, she has layed one clutch, and is ready to pop out her second in about a weeks time, so then once she's layed them, my male shall go into another tank for a while.

Bearded Dragons usually lay an average of 3 clutches from 1 introduction period (this may include several matings over say a one week period), this may be effected by heating and amount of food consumed.

Seperating her now won't control her, she will continue to lay eggs while heating is good, turn down (off) the heating if you want any chance of slowing the egg count down.
