Well, I know many of you would love to own a green iguana over in Aus. so I figured I would post a couple pics of mine. It amazes (and upsets) me that many of you would die to be able to own an iguana over there, but here in the US, iguanas are the most commonly dumped reptile of all! Everyone thinks that they are a great beginners species since the average cost of them is $15 for a hatchling. THey are actually quite the opposite and are for more of the advanced owners.

Anyways, enjoy. She actually has ALOT of orange on her. More so than green.

i knew a bloke who had some and they go to sleep underwater, it freaked him out the first time he thought they were drowning.

He seems to have heaps of red colouring is that a normal colour phase?
You dont see many that are as orange as her, but during breeding season, they usually tend to get more of orange in their coloring.

Hot iguana! Iguana's and leopard gecko's are the only exotic lizard I would keep. Thanks for sharing!

She isnt very handleable. She doesnt like to be held and will actually charge at you. If you held her, she tried to go at your face with her mouth wide open. lol. She isnt the nicest, but I still like her. She lives in her own 8ft long by 7ft high by 4ft wide cage and is happy as can be in there. I dont think it is worth all the stress on her to try and "tame" her. So I just let her be herself and dont force anything on her. She does get to run around the house when I lock up the cat and dog and supervise her.

I wouldn't even consider an iguana if they were legal, way too much work (and risk of being bitten / clawed) for me.
She's beautiful though :D

aw, shes so beautiful,.!
i love how she puts her little arms back to sleep,..!!!

Awesome, i'd keep one in a heart beat, if they were legal here!

Iguana's, a couple of chameleons of differing species.. Can only dream! :(
