Hey I recently purchased a new enclosure its 3 foot x 3 x 2 it has a fake background with ledges and a waterfall. on the floor is water on one side and land built up with rocks on the other.
Water temp at 28c and run a uv light through the day, with lots of fake trees and plants in the enclosure for cover.

I acquired 2 x Green tree frogs (sex unknown) approximately 4 years old never bread before.

They settled in really well probably took about 2 days, then the smaller of the two just started randomly croaking once a while normally at night when I was on the computer.

The next day the small one was riding around on the back of the larger frog I assume attempting to mate? (correct me if they do it for other reasons warmth? lazy?)

They did this for 2 days (no signs of actually breeding) now the have detached and the smaller one is croaking his head off non stop he will croak every 2-3 mins and it can last for a minute. some times he gets back on the other frogs back and it stops for a while.

Its really annoying and finding it hard to stay asleep has anyone got any ideas?

Also what is the best powder to put on their crickets?

They also are not as green as the ones in the pet shops but they both have good activity at night and have been eating well should I worry about brown patches?

From our experience with GT Frogs the last 10 yrs, males croak, females do not...
We enjoyed the sounds of their croaking in the evening (or during the night)...;)
Different sounds would set them off, like loud music, immitating their croaking sound near them, people talking loudly near them especially if that person had a deep voice.
Their colors would also change from dark green to almost light bluish.
We recently sold ours, (house move) and I know we will both miss their croaking. :(
