By now, most members will have heard that ARO is down after being hacked last night. It was done by a group of professional hackers from Brazil, who are targetting random networks in Australia. This would seem to indicate a series of random "trial runs" before hitting the biggie they are actually after.

On the message they left at ARO's start page is a link. For those trying to research or track down this group, DO NOT CLICK ON THIS LINK. It will nuke you. We followed them up through a forum dedicated to countering various hacking groups, & the only safe way to learn about this crew is by never going near anything they have put out themselves.

I believe this issue is bigger than any one site, as if they are randomly targetting Aussie networks & servers ANYONE could be next. It is our duty to let any other herpers we know about this threat, as once they hit a site, it is GONE!

Yeah, i noticed that today, also noticed Neil Sonnemann's site has disappeared?

yeah i noticed last night mrs made me turn of the pc lucky for sec software

I was wondering what the message in spanish (well, now I know it was portugese) was. At least now I know.

Yep, could be interesting as it's not neccessarily here in Oz. Mind you I'm starting to stress every time my bank's site is down.
