Where do I put the heat mat?

I know it's meant to be in one third of the enclosure, underneath.

I've also been told to put a piece of ply between the mat and the click clack. Should there be a gap of air between the mat and the tank? Should there be something under the heat mat?

Just tell me anything you know xD thanks.

I have a piece of polystyrene on the bottom, then the heat mat, with a piece of mdf on top

Okay thanks. Any risk of fire with the wood on top?

It's not getting as hot as I'd hoped, there's a gap in between the floor and the bottom of the click clack as it has wheels. So that's annoying, looks like we'll have to (somehow) get rid of the plastic underneath so the mat's closer to the base of the tub.

Webcol has it. That's as per the instructions on a Microclimate heat mat. I use these heatmats, thermostatically controlled, set up as Webcol described (25mm polystyrene, then heatmat, then 3mm MDF, then enclosure) & haven't had a problem. I use Sistema tubs (flat bottom) with no issues.
