heating and feeding

Hey I have a friend who just recently got a childrens python which is an adult. It is living in a plastic tub with no heating. I said to him that is probably fine if he is letting it go into hibernation but i thought you dont feed them if you do that. Anyway the problem is that he fed it and intends to keep feeding it even though it has no heat. He also doesn't intend to get a heat mat/cord for it.
My question is will it have trouble digesting the food without any heat and could it be detrimental to the python.
I hate it when people get the animals but say they dont have any money to buy what is needed for them because they waste their money on crap they dont need.

Without heating fhey won't digest food and will probably die from stomach rotary 20 bucks for a heat cord to go under the tube is not 'wasting money'

it's so stupid when people get a snake without taking into account what else they'll have to buy for it. like damian83 said, it's $20 for a heat matt. i know you shouldn't have to, but maybe if your mate refuses to buy a heat matt you should just buy one for it yourself and give it to him. he'll hopefully use it if he's given one and the snake will be alot better off.

Yeah man do the right thing. Get a heat mat/cord and print out a care sheet for the pythons. Make yourself sound interested in his new perches and hand him the Mat and care sheet.

Just have heat under part of the tub
