So I've been researching vivarium heating a lot lately, as I'm still deciding between homing a blue tongue lizard (western, central or northern) or a ridge-tailed monitor. It seems blue tongues don't need any heating at night, but ridge-tails do, right?
What I'm trying to ask is, what are people's recommendations for heating and lighting for the two different species, especially with heating the tank at night for a ridge-tail?
I'm possibly buying a 80x45x45 tank with an 100w intensive basking light (I believe this: http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/intense_basking_spot.php) from Gumtree. NOTE: This is only for a baby/juvie specimen. However, if you think that is too small for even a baby blue tongue or ridge-tail, I am welcome to other suggestions!
Any help is greatly appreciated. Links to particular bulbs and/or vivariums is also of great help to me!
