Well, I wasn't bothered at all when Fuscus hauled out two lil pythons and put em into my hands!! Yeehaa! I thought they were beautiful! Forgotten the breed tho! LOL! Cheers Cheryl

Well Mick, I was gonna get Dave a MD Python for his birthday back in August, but we decided that we were too flat out with the rodent ranch, and had a sad lack of room for a cabinet in our shed/flat, that we would hold back for another year. Cheers

Well done on ur first snake experience. so Fuscus what did u givve her?

I didn't realize you hadn't held a snake before  but I did notice you were a little unsure after I just shoved the snake into your hands. Still you handled yourself well. But If I had known that you hadn't handled a snake before I wouldn't have been so blaise.

I handed her one of my yearling bredli http://150.101.58.70/thumbnails.php?id=Snake_Bredls_Python&num=02 at 1.2 meters they are big enough to give people a thrill but these guys are super placid and really well coloured. They are the same ones I've photographed with the young girls holding.

RR Next time you'll have to try and hold that jungle

How fantastic for you Cheryl :D Nothing like that first hold, you'll always remember it :D Taking about jungles, before I had even got to hold a snake I was bitten by one of those, after that beginning  my first hold was a beautiful little yellow & black yearling Jungle from a guy called Russell Grant (who I'm certain a few ppl here have heard of - nice bloke!). The difference was I wanted to get bitten to see what it was like  It was good! :D

They are beautiful looking snakes Fuscus! :D

I remember holding my first snake earlier this year. I was nervous and a little shaky but you get used to it. Now, I just put my hand in and grab him out and he doesn't even attempt to strike, even after a meal. Great placid snake I have. Well done RR. You will be hooked in no-time and will have many snakes at your home. :)

Well, DP we will be moving out of our shed/flat, next door to Dave's Mums house(we are buying the property), when she gets her pensioner unit in town. We should have a lot more room then, for cabinets etc. And when we get these rotten, dripping nipple waterers sorted(new ones coming), the RR should be fairly self sufficient hopefully, and we will have a lot more time to get aquainted with a new addition to the family(our first snake). Cheers Cheryl. PS Fuscus, I will let you get the Snappy One out first before I hold it. LOL!!!!

My mate came over bout a month ago and had never held a snake. so i asked him which one he wanted to hold. he piked the agro one  well it took all of 5 minutes while he was holding him to get bitten. it wass alright cause its only a mac though they can give u a fright. wel he loved it. the fact that he was bitten.
