Hey all,

I have had a series of insect deaths lately and all seem to be getting funny spots on their bodies...
The initial suspicion is Nematodes.....(A worm like parasite.) Until I can get a definitive answer, I am treating them as such.

My question I am wanting to know is, If the insects do infect have nematodes, can the serpents get the same strain or nematodes?
I have them all on a desk together, and I guess I am wondering if I should move my reptiles from the Invertebrates?

Thanks,

Morgan

No, parasitic worms are host specific. The only exception is if the parasite happens to be the intermediate host for a reptile parasite but that would require you to feed the dead insect to an insectivorous reptile before the insect died.

Oh awesome!!! Thanks for that, I googled and googled, and found nothing....

Now i just need to find a way to stop my invertebrates from dying. I lost the Giant mantis today, Spiny yesterday, Goliath the day before... :(
