Help Identifying Snake!

Hello Snake lovers,

I have come across this site in an effort to help identify a rather old snake handed down to me through family. The story of this snake is that it was captured by my grandmothers father who preserved it this bottle. Actual age is unknow but I am 24 years old so i guess you can put a rough guess based on that. It was believed to have come from South Australia. Does anyone recognise it or know of a place or person that can help?

They are a very beautiful snake and, while venomous, are not considered dangerous.

oh and they feed on blind snakes and generally are only found out on moonless nights.

yep thats surely it! although time and/or whatever its preserved in has faded the colour a fair bit
