I am currently applying for an exhibitors licence in nsw. The answer i cant seem to getanswered by anyone is What reptiles,animals i can keep under this permit/licence?

Any help is appreciated

i dont know about there...

but up here you can keep all pythons, most elapids, fresh and salt water crocs

Thanx for the reply, I am guessing the same for here, but it is a really hard one to get answers for even the Department of Primary Industries cant give me a straight answer.....They are the ones who issue the permits!!???!!
I want to start educational and demonstrtions for schools and stuff like that also hoping to get a freshy!!

Hang on a minute buddy, I have the paperwork here...

I tried to get one so I can have some exotic animals... is that what you're after?

If so, I can try find the website, and stuff...
I rang the "head guy" the guy who actually issued them at the time, he said "you wont get it"
He basically said unless you are a zoo, you wont get it. BUT IN SAYING THAT give it a shot, and tell me how you went PLEASE!!!

you will have to do alot of searching thought to find what you want, they dont make it esay to get to as they dont like giving them away, (thats what the guy told me)

once you click on NSW Legislation, on the left hand side, scroll down till you see "Schedule 2 Animals for which a section 24 permit is required"
click that... they are you animals

Sweet i will check it out I have been searching through and through, I beleive unless you are a zoo you will find it hard to keep exotics..This is something that i am willing to try out though! I basically only want mine for demonstrations and mobile exhibits

Too true skunk it has been a long drawn out process so far....Not even half way there and may well get knocked back.... sure hope not though.....they make it very hard.....
