hey guys,
quick question about my jungle python.
i've had her for about a 14 months now, i've never had any problem getting her out of her enclosure, she's never struck at me or done more than a gentle hiss.
last week i moved her up a size for her food items, it left a pretty massive lump but she got it down no problems (she's 20 months old i fed her on a small rat - which i'm told is pretty standard), but then she curled up on a small rock crevice on her rock wall and has only moved once since then (i fed her 9 days ago), she went milky and has just cleared up ready for a shed, so between the feed and getting ready for the shed i can understand her lack of movement. but adding to my concern is the fact that i wanted to just check that she was okay, so tried to get her moving again, and she got very agitated as soon as i tried to move her (she hissed really loud and struck for the first time ever). i can understand her being defensive because she's coming up 2 a feed and still feeling full, but i just wanted to check that there isn't something else i need to be concerned about. (once she was moving i looked for anything i could see that might suggest other problems and she seemed fine physically).
thanks for your advice
