What to do when assist feeding a 3 month old python doesn't work??? I tryed and he just spat it back out.

When did it last feed? Did you just place the pinkie inside its mouth or down its throat and it regurgitated?

Last fed about a month ago I put it inside his mouth and he just kept spitting the pinkie out so I tryed a rat tail thinking it would be easier but he spat that out to :(

A month without feeding is not cause to assist feed. Have you tried scenting with mice/quail/skinks/geckos? It will be insanely stressed at this point so do NOT try again. Put it back in its enclosure with heat and preferably in the dark

I tryed it all but the quail I don't plan on bothering him for a while again I'm just worried is all I'm going to organise getting some and maybe live pinkys

Yep, as Dash said. Also, try and pop a thawed pinky near the entrance of its hide after you've given the snake a break for a day or so. Leave it there overnight and fingers crossed it'll be gone the next morning.Good luck (and yeah, don't stress ;))

Yea I tried just leaving in his enclosure and covering and left the house for a few hours so there was absolutely no disturbance to no avail and he never uses his hide only ever sits on top of it

An also tryed over night

Nope, that's a way to do it. I find difficult jungles will take quail but instead of defrosting in water with a bird I usually make a paste from day olds and freeze it in a ice cube tray (its disgusting but works) then defrost the pinky in a container with just the quail pop. It almost always works. If that's too gross, cut a wing from a day old quail and put in the mouth of a washed (so it dosnt smell of rat) and warmed pinky

I really wouldnt worry at the moment.
Just leave him like you said and try a few techniques you know (safe of-course) and if that all fails im sure plenty of people on here would be happy to help you out.
Im sure he/she will be just fine.

At this point nothing's to gross I'm so desperate I'd chew the quail in my mouth to make it a paste if I knew it would work I appricate the advice I try not to worry but it's almost at the point where it keeps me up at night like I know they can go along time with out food but how long I don't know but ill try to stop worrying so much

thanks I will try the safer methods

Its very stressful having you first non feeder, trust me when I say you need to relax about it, the more you stress, the more you will be inclined to do something drastic and harm the animal. If you just take a step back and give him a week in the dark with optimum temps and try something new he may feed, he may not, then you take another week and try again. Odds are he will start feeding its just a matter of time.

Thanks for everything the reassurance does really help I don't know what I would do with out you guys!

The advice given is great. You asked how long they can go. I am not sure you really want to know the answer. Hatchlings can go 9 months or longer before they eat. For those highly concerned, intervention often occurs around 6 months.

Basically work on the premise that when the critter gets hungry he will eat. It might take up to 9 months for that to happen. I would be inclined to try monthly feeds as described with the quail scenting. If at he end of 9 months it is not eating then force feeding, such as a pinky pump would be appropriate followed by fortnightly assist feeding until it takes food on its own. Hopefully, you will have it feeding long before you need to resort to that.

I'm surprised no one has asked what temperature you're running. Temp can have a big impact as well. Increase the hot spot temperature and see if that helps.

So was the snake feeding fine previously?
Well he had eatin 1 fuzzy mouse that I know of cause I had placed it in his clack clack during the day and went out for a few hours and he had a nice lump in his belly but before then I was told he was eating fine prior to purchasing him
