Hi my name is Scott,
I have recently gone to purchase a snake only to find my license has been out of date for the past year.
I have contacted NPW and was told i had to submit a stat deceleration form.
I have 2 snakes on hand at the moment which where on my license but have been UN-licensed
for the past year.
Has anyone ever had this happen? or any advice would be appreciated.

Is it that simple? I didn't purchase any reptiles or sell during the period.
Just worried they wont allow my snakes to stay with me.

Honestly NPW is understaffed & have more things to be concerned about than raiding people's homes 'cos their licenses have expired...

Should have added a money order for $20...all they really care about is the money:lol:

LOL, i have offered to pay the 5yr fee and have they 1 year deducted immediately.

it would be pretty crappy if they took ur snakes away, ur tryingt o do the right thing after all,...

If they can't even answer the phone after lunch than they deserve nothing:lol:

TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!! HAHA i rung up just to find out they close at 12:30!!!!!!!
What Cheap Skates...haha. they make everything soo hard, especially if you want an Export/Import Permit. And they know barely anything....i knew this guy who got his mates together to get Jewelled geckos which NPWS had up on a ballot, one of them won and they found out when they went to pick it up that they werent Jewelled Geckos!!

It's a hassle when you've got a python "on hold" while you wait for the import permit to be approved & sent back in the mail.

I found it quicker to mail NPW the export permit form w/money order THEN faxing them the same form, explaining "cheque's in the mail" & that you're requesting for urgent approval as the reptile's "on hold".

I emailed them 2 days after I sent the fax & they promptly replied with my permit number.
