pics as follows.... he did just shed about a week ago too if that's any help but either way i'm concerned and have nfi what the go is :(

has a white pale tinge to it kind of like the milkyness that you get when they're getting ready to shed... inspected his skin post shed and can't find any holes or patches that line up to it as if he left something behind.....

just hoping someone might know the hell is goin on :(

Mine had one or two off white/yellow scales appear after a shed a while ago and are still there but not quite like yours. Mysterious!

Brisbane Bird and Exotics Vet on Kessels Road are very good with reptiles.

Looks like a stain from rubbing on wood, or crawling through poop..if its behaviour hasn't changed at all, I wouldnt be going to a vet at this stage...

That certainly is strange:? Try giving it a wipe with wet cloth? Hope you find out what it is, I'd like to know!:)

Well he still eats like a stoned labradore.... still Adventurous, but he's also started this weird clicking noise when he's breathing.:( ... It's really quiet. Then again he's small. But no harm in a check up never the less

is there any discharge coming from the mouth or nostrils? also how are your temps
maybe it burned itself? that is if you are using a heatlight, maybe some scales/skin got damaged during shed?

clciking isn't RI, has an increased amount of bacteria in mouth producing a little excess mucus (possibly caused by the extremely high humidity og the weather over the past few weeks providing conditions) but nothing to warrant antibiotics at this point, vet had no idea about the discolouration but said to monitor it closly, more so the scales. if no change occurs at all she was confident it would go away with the next shed, but if they become dull or develop blisters or anything else abnormal for that matter i have to bring him back in asap....

so all in all, done a complete overhaul and refresh of enclosure, and iodine solution for his mouth.... now i gotta start a new thread for advice on administering such solution... done it once... but he was a **** tonne stronger than i thought, getting his mouth to open sucks and the cotton wool bud keeps getting stuck on his theeth :(

Good that you have the answers .

now to get him fit and start a breeding program and find that recesive gene to make more little colour inconsistencies

Our stimson girl has one golden scale 'if only we knew how to make more '$$$$$$$

I wouldn't leap to conclusions with the clicky breathing just yet. My Floyd always gets a little clicky around shedding time (not only before, but sometimes for a little while afterwards as well). As long as it's just a little clicking, and not actually wheezing/laboured breathing, and there's no visible discharge from his nose/mouth I wouldn't be too concerned. I'd just keep a close eye on it, to make sure it doesn't worsen.

I couldn't tell ya what the milky patch is, but like others here, I could take a guess. It's possible those scales took some mild damage while he was preparing for his shed. Their skin is pretty delicate when coming up to a shed, if some old skin in that spot was lifted up prematurely, it could cause some marking. I've never seen it myself, so I couldn't say exactly what it would look like. As long as he's still acting himself and eating/moving around like before, I wouldn't be too worried. Of course you can go to the vet for peace of mind, but I'd personally spend a little time monitoring the situation first. Making sure the patch isn't actually spreading etc.

Keep us updated! I'd be very interested to see how your little fella goes.

All the best

x

EDIT: I'm a little behind apparently haha, glad you got some answers!
