Hey, I was just wondering if anyone could help me with this noise my turtle has started making.. I recent made an outdoor enclosure for him, but I didn't want to leave him outside on the first night just in case I have missed an area I haven't turtle proofed yet.
Anyway, this is the first time I have had a turtle and I have had him for less than a week, so I don't really know anything about their behaviour.
So last night, when I took him out of his pond, he mad these two gasping noises, or like, blowing out noises. I'm not sure if it came from him or his shell. I didn't see any movement when I heard the noises, but I wasn't looking at his face at the time. This morning when I took him out of his indoor enclosure, I heard the same noise, but only one escaping or inhaling of air. I think it sounded more like air was escaping from somewhere, but I don't really know..
Is my turtle alright? Is this normal or is he sick? Or maybe he's just angry, I don't know
