hi, i recently bought myself a murray darling and he seems to a little to bit fiesty. i tried to sell him and someone told me i had to wait 6 months after i bought him to sell him? really need to know if this is true or not thanks

Snakes bite. I'd suggest not buying anymore if you're just going to sell them when they take a snap at you.

It's like buying a puppy and selling it two weeks later because it poops. I agree with notechis, and you will have to wait six months. Please don't neglect it in that time.

Maybe it would be better to ask if there is anything you are doing that makes
it snappy. You obviously don't have a lot of experience so maybe there
is something in your husbandry that could be improved to calm him down.
What is his enclosure like?

If you really don't want to keep it then contact your local npws & request permission to move it on before the 6months is up.

and Darlyn doesn't mean the fancy bits! what is the age of your snake? it may benefit from being in a click clack for a while until its bigger as the stress of a big enclosure may be making it snappy. just a thought....what was it like when you picked it up at the breeders (assuming this is the case)? was it snappy there? if not, ring the breeder and ask for enclosure temps and a way to help settle the MD down ....stress can affect snakes in many ways be mindful of this

I agree with KaotikJezta try and persevere, maybe see if someone with some experience could have a look at your set up and see if any changes would help.
I have a young Murray Darling who drives me crazy with her snapping but I just take it easy and when handled is only for a few minutes at a time. She will hopefully calm down eventually and if not it is just her temperament, like people some are easy going and some are pains in the butt!!!
I also have a woma that is like a placid kitten - untill she decides she is hungry, so both very different.
Good Luck.
