Hooray for Detective Peter Fox

Today Peter Fox will give evidence, in Newcastle, to the NSW enquiry into institutional coverups of child abuse in NSW over the past years. I have great admiration for this man who has the guts to stand up at such great personal cost for the benefit of what most would consider strangers. Lets hope that the cost is not in vain and that the individual accountability is not buried in institutional beaucracy.

I understand that he was sidelined by the police force because he pushed this very important barrow - has he left the force? I seem to recall he might have resigned... I think the Catholic Church has insidious influence everywhere, and lots of friends in high places...

Yep, saw that Warwick. It seems that whistle-blowers always end up being ostracised by the very people they're trying to help, but I think church influence goes deeply into many organisations...

There was a certain cover up. I wont name names. I know of a priest caught sitting in a bed with a student. He was moved from the school and it hushed up. His name has came up in reports. The dates mean that he again was at the school about 2 years later.
I hope for all that have suffered that this is a positive start.
