Hot Rod Hire???

Hi Guys,
Quick one - Luke and I are having a small family gathering when we get back from Fiji to celebrate our wedding with all the ppl who couldn't come o/s.
Thing is, we'd like to rock up in STYLE!! :twisted: I wanna turn up in a hot rod!!
Now not those poofy ****ty looking excuse for them (ie, the cars in their original condition), I want a big shiny engine, side exhaust, MASSIVE tyres, the lot!! lol
Does anyone in Vic kow where I can hire one?? I have found a few places - but they're all in their original condition.
Or even if you know someone with one - we'll pay em!!

considering my dad and all his mates are in a hot rod club i know a few people but unfortunelty they dont do these sorta things but i also know of a company that does with some seriously awesome hot rods. like stretch limo ones and all ill see if i can find there fone numbers for you as that is there business

Hehehe shame you don't live in Queensland, I could have helped with that one :lol: Although with my mates and some of the supercharged Mustangs and things they used to get around in you'd end up in gaol before you got to the registry hehehehe

Yeah thanx Rick - I just called them - fully booked out for our day But I am even looking for something a bit more HOT rod-ish that theirs...
I might try contacting Calder Park or some Rod Clubs??

I don't know the names of the Models, but picture the Black Betty film clip - something like that!! lol
Exposed engine, big mags, even bigger grill on the front, ANY colour!!
Something like THIS would be cool (even w/o the exposed engine)

Awesome stuff Bex, sounds like a great idea. Lucky for Luke you love hot rods, my missus is pretty well over cars as living with a mechanic, or used to be mechanic...LOL, all she ever heard about was cars and how to make them go quicker...LOL

Hey, I'm not nto your normal car type stuff, but I have been telling Luke for YEARS that I don't wanna but a normal car - I wanna buy an old sheel and build my own hot rod!! OMG!! I would just DIE!!! *sigh*
That, or better still, win powerball or something and buy one already done!!
But unfortunately guys, looks like it won't be happening The only places that are a) hire them out and b) are willing tom come over this side of town, only have the 'vintage' type cars - not quite what I call a rod
Maybe I should just go to the Calder and see who I can talk into it!! :twisted: :lol:

lol - My family would LOVE me turning up in Dracs car - being an x-goth and all
And yeah, I've checked out that site - but I'm quickly running out of time (we leave for Fiji in a week!!) and am too busy cleaning the house and all of the tanks!! lol
