How can you tell?

A stupid question from me =(. how can you tell the difference between a pinky rat and mice? or other sizes too. is it just generally the size difference?

usually the shop you buy from should specify what kind they are otherwaise im assuming rats are bigger :| dunno only ever fed pinkie/fuzzy mice

yeah i was just afraid theyd give me mice instead of rats. and id be like oh okay thanks heaps! i dont know the difference =( its sad really.

Size is a give away, if you can view them before purchase. Pinky mice are tiny - like 1cm or less while pinky rats are about 2cm plus.
