i have a male and female childrens python. They have never been together in one tank as they have not been old enough. now they are both over 3 years old and I would like to breed them. I have no idea on how to start the process and was wondering if people could please tell me what i do. my girl is a bit vicious now and bites and would not want her hurting my boy. Any advice would be fantastic.
thank you

You also might want to consider that hatchies can be quite snappy. So if you're scared of the one you have now biting, you may have up to a dozen that want a piece of you if you are successful

do you know any suggestions to stop them biting? you just have to go near the glass and she has a go at you

Dont ever feed them in their enclosure then, usually if they are snappy in their enclosures its food or teritorial bite responce, handle regulary (try at least once a week) , a bite from a Antaresia childreni is not painfull, just more so inconvient, especially when they hang on. you could also try placing her inclosure in an area with high traffic, so she gets use to people and movement, but make sure she has at least one good hide area so she can escape to, and also make sure she is well feed, especially if your keen on breeding, the male on the other hand i find it good to keep them not quite so chunky for breeding, they seem to have a better sexual stimulation if not overfeed.

hey im new to this so i don't have heaps of experience but from everything ive read wouldn't that just stress the snake out more

She is in my lounge room so she is in high traffic area. and has a good hiding place to get away.

Do i need to cool my snakes down to breed them and can i put the girl into the boys tank? and will they hurt each other?

Jacinta, I think you really need to do a lot of research before you bother. Hatchie children's are a bugger to get feeding. Certainly not for the feint hearted. Laying and incubating the eggs is the easy part.
