I have searched but typing temerature in the search forum brings up lots..
so any help would be appreciated.. it is getting to 34 in my snake room is that getting extreme. my bhp thermostat is set at that but she can come and go but in brissy at the moment it is really hot and humid. i have a pedestal fan moving the air and the snakes do not seem to mind the heat they just are really active at night and my little stimmy is always hungry but is there a max i should try and keep under.next year i will air con the room but apparently the family need it before my snakes so they are down the list..

Your BHP will be loving it, they can handle very hot conditions, different types can handle different temps, but generally you should try to keep it under 35 as much as possible.

i have a SW stimmy too so i gather they handle the heat as it gets to the 40's in the shade out there but low humidity. the highest i have recorded was 35 but i have ventilation and fan so sounds like they will be fine .. thanks for the fast replies

As long as they have access to a water bowl that they can fully submerge them selves in they should be fine. You could also spray some misty water into the enclosures and even put a few ice cubes in their water bowls.
ice cubes good idea to bring the humidity up but i heard it can cause problems if your snake drinks the icy water correct me if im wrong because i have the same problem in cooktown

in the last place i lived in, my bedroom was really hot because there was not ceilling void.i was looking after my friends 4 yr old bredli and the enclosure wasnt ideal for ventelation so i thought he couldnt escape heat so well. i but in a few ice blocks on a glass shelf and he would cuddled up to them. they would melt pretty much straight away but IMO they relieved him. i think it cooled the glass down for a little while too.
