Hi! I am brand new at snake ownership, but I have a Stimson Python who ate beautifully, but I have a feeling she is hungry. I fed Azula two days ago and she is already on the hunt for another mouse!

How soon can I feed her? I don't want to hurt her, but she is very determined to find something else to eat.

Snakes are opportunistic feeders so are ALWAYS hungry.

Depending on the size of the meal, you should be feeding weekly-fortnightly.

Stimsons will almost always go off their food during winter months, so don't expect her to be eating every weeks. They'll easily go 6+ months without taking a feed

a good sized feed, should last a week or two.

if she is out moving, could mean the mouse was too small and shes ready for more or shes just coming out for a smell and adventure :p

Thanks! Azula is about a meter long and I fed her an adult mouse that didn't seem to make much of an impression around her middle.

Maybe I need to move her up to a wiener rat?
