I found this interesting. Feel free to look and laugh or comment if you wish. It is a bit hard to read the writing but basically it says that when it is time to clean out the gaboon viper enclosures it is futile and stressful to restrain them so they are left to slither to the holding tanks by themselves.

at least they would be easy to find if they tried to hide lol

Brilliant. Both the snakes knowing what the deal is and the handlers taking the safest option :)

Mind you I suspect they are going home. One elaborate "holding tank". Looks like a show tank to me. Beautiful snakes and if they were hiding I for one would be stressing out about finding them. Interesting process I imagine. (once you've found them)

All clean. Time to go home, fluffy. :) wow that would be really interesting to watch.

The guy who owns these snakes is really nice. They are called Dolly and Humphrey and have been together since they were babies. They were rescued from a pet shop fire a few years back and as everyone can see, are living in a lovely home with someone who absolutely adores them :)

I really like that picture. the gaboons have the most stunnig patterns too. id really like to feel their skin, it looks very matt and smooth..

one day i will head to the states for an amazing rollarcoasters/reptiles/fireworks/bbguns/hooters/moviestarspotting/vegas baby holiday.. lol

Imagine that feeling in your stomach if you ever found out that they had gotten out and were missing.

I have a mate who had one of his Mulgas disappear. Don't worry though, it turned up a couple of months later. :D

Wow! That's not an ideal situation at all lol. I actually don't know what I would do in that situation... I bet he was relieved when he found it again. That would be stressful if you had young kids around though! Wow.

yeah, his main concern was it turning up in the neighbors yard. It would have been hard to explain if someone got bitten.
