Hello all,

My brother found this picture online and showed it to me and I just had to post it here.

I'm pretty sure it's a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, but I'm not positive.
In the e-mail with the picture that the guy sent to me he says it's 9 feet 1 inch and 97 lbs.
The location is south of Tow, Texas.

I dont think ti's that big, it's closer to the camera and he's further away.

Same way they did the hobbits in LOTR, look he is holding out the tongs.

I'm with Gillsy, a bit of trick photography i think. Plus if it weighs 97lbs (43kg) you would have a hard time holding it out on the end of a stick like he is.

I couldn't hold my 3.5Kg carpet out on a hook. Too heavy for me and he was bending the hook. SO I could imagine that guy would be struggling to hold it and he looks quite relaxed.

No way do C. atrox even approach 9 ft...the biggest atrox recorded I believe is under 7ft....the weight is massively off as well....

Cheers,
Scott

given that the biggest ever one found was 213 cm and rarely are they found over 180cm i am almost 100% positive its fake.

thats gota be a western diamond back, but that looks too big to be real lol

i have to admit yeah its not HUGE.... but it is quite large.. the photo is front on and the tail nearly touchs the ground and loops back down at head hight... so it cant be small.... unless that guys a very small midget...

im saying over 2m....
