Darlyn took these shots when she and some mates took a chopper out to spread a good friend's ashes on Quail Island, his favourite place. (He was killed by a speeding, red light running teenager. Clive was a bike racer at the Melbourne Olympics).

Anyway, thought you might like to see some of the Top End coast and Clive's favourite Island.

RIP Clive. You picked a beautiful final resting place.

Exquisite photo's :)
Great chopper ride.
Goodbye my friend.

Clive had a great taste in locations.

RIP mate, ride free.

that place is beautiful , I hope some of my fathers ashes have ended up there also ( we put him in the ocean off Mission Beach , he couldn't swim )

Just in front of where my avatar pic was taken !!

Did you notice the freshwater soak in pic 6? It gets saltwater breaking in over the dune but because salt water is denser the fresh water sits on top. You'd be very brave (or desperate) to take a drink though. Big handbags would spend time in there to get rid of parasites and a drinking human would be too big an opportunity to miss!

I wondered what was happening there, thanks for the explanation.

My condolences. Must have been a very special person and what a fittingly special send off.
