Its posted a bit late, but i thought i would just remind people to take a minute to remember all the victims and the emergency workers of the september 11th terror attacks.

The world is turning into a terrible place, but hopefully remembering tragedies like this can somehow remind people of how truly delecate life is and possibly stop things like this happeningn in the future.

lest we forget.

Cheers, Alan.

Will Do Sherman Love.

It's a sad day and changed the way we all look at our freedom.
The victims join a long list of unintentional heroes. People who died for a cause they were unaware began with that attack.
Just as Bali and the Djakarta bombings.
Pray for their families.

Em x

It can make us grateful for our safety and freedom.

Well done sherm.

I guess it happened around this time of night, 3 years ago...

Well done to all the emergency workers. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. This day changed the world forever. We should work together to change it again, but this time into a better place, where we do not feel the need to look over our backs.

One thing that bothers me is me is people calling sep11 "The day the world changed forever"
It was a terrible event, cruel and shocking in its boldness, and innocent folk lost their lives, and they deserve rememberance and mourning. However, the label just dosent seem fair or make sense when you consider the countless events of modern history, just as mindless, horrific, and inhumane, indeed, many far worse and with far greater loss of innocent lives!
As Slatey said, people forget quickly, spare a thought for all victims of our own insanity,
past present and future.

Examples Instar ?

I have to say other then war i cannot think of anything that was as terrible then hijacking planes and flying them int buildings where innocent people worked !

Did you hear the phone calls from the plane ? and see the people jumping from the tops of the buildings ?

My kids could not understand the devastation and why someone would want to do such things to other humans

Why discount war mick?
How about thousands of iraqis gassed by their own leader?
thousands of bosnians, serbs, kurds slaughtered?
chjechnian cinema bombings?
skool bombings ?
bali?
timothy mcvae's victims?
timor victims?
russian train bombings?
pol pots victims?
hiroshima and nagasaki victims?
civilian vietnamese war victims?
civilian "anywar" victims?
6 million nazi victims?
20 million stalin victims?

enough? :( And yes, I saw it all Mick, but every event listed above was just the same for the familys of victims, "because it affected them directly". No diference to the victims weather they were at work, at home or in the street. Im just saying while I understand the shock and emotion involved in 9/11, i just dont see a difference. I simply hope it never happens here in australia, although given time its almost a certainty. I felt the same way as your kids Mick, its only that tecknology and world media bring it "live as it happens" right to your loungeroom that shocks all the more and really hits home.

Basically inny, this world has been a piece of crap. It is really heartbraking for me to finally see what it really is.

Sep 11 did change the world forever because it made us realize how vulnerable we actually are. If someone can 3000 US citizens in a matter of hours, than the rest of us are ****ed.

Those events have also changed the world forever, but not to the extent September 11 did, because it did not effect us directly, and most of it occured before my time, so I cannot fathom the pain and heartbreak people would have experienced whilst it was all going on.

I think personally when there is a war people are more open to the chance that a bombing or the like will happen .
Whereas just sending your kids off to school or your wife/ husband off to work and then something like this happens without warning just shows us how fragile our life is .
I am not saying that wars are not bad and horrible things happen during them as well
No offense Instar Just my opinion!
