Hi
My 3 year old jungle female looks to be laying infertile eggs. She laid 1 a few weeks ago. About a week there was probably 4 or 5 there and now she's got about 10 in there. I'm removing them but I don't know why this is happening. I do have a male the same age in the enclosure with her. I'm worried and I'm not sure what to do for her. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Its happening because the male didn't do his job. If this was not planned maybe separate the snakes next season.
If it was planned the male wasn't ready for one of many possible reasons.

Nothing you can do other than take the slugs away and give her a decent feed when she's finished.

A healthy clutch is usually laid in one hit, over a few hours. You definitely should have removed the male (and all other snakes) well before the due date because once the female lays and begins to thermoregulate (increasing body temp) other snakes in the enclosure are drawn to the warmth and will disrupt the laying or incubation process. I suspect you will write off this year's clutch to inexperience (and it may be that she is too young anyway), but you will need to palpate the female or get a vet to do it for you to ensure that she doesn't have any retained eggs. ALWAYS ensure that gravid and laying females are isolated from other snakes, including the fathering male, well before the clutch is due, and this is easy to estimate accurately to within a couple of days, or they will interfere with and disrupt the process.
