I have a question i've wanted to ask for ages..

How do you all control all the insects you have in and around your home?

Everybody gets bugs but i think we have the bulk of them here, living in my home, crawling on the washing on the line..
I have spiders in every conciveable place and any lizard keeper knows it is inevitible at one time or another some your bugs will escape
The upside is that it attracts lizards, birds, and green tree frogs in to feed off them.

Because we often let the lizards out to roam around and feed off the bugs and we dont want to kill any frogs we don't want to use anything toxic to control these bugs, so as a result i have a rapidly increasing number of creepy crawlies runnning around my house and the outside resembles the adams family as quickly as you can sweep it

so....

how do you control these unwanted visitors to your place?????????

get more lizards and frogs??..i saw a great insect catcher in the disposals store
its got a reservoir at the back to drown the insects,or u can leave it dry and it catches them alive..a light attracts them..id add a scent as well,to a fan which sucks them into the catcher where they become trapped..im sure you could alway use tha idea as a platform to make bigger and better..as this thing is designed to sit in the caravan, made by colemans,

The Herp Shop has these nifty little traps for catching Speckled Feeder Roaches. They work remarkably well on SFR's. The insects are unharmed so there are no problems feeding them off to your herps.

They are $15 each. See the food page for more details.

I bought one of those from Herp shop and it works really well. I leave it baited and on the floor near or under the lizard tanks and the escapees crawl inside and stay there.
